COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR ACCIDENT PREVENTION

The existing Hertfordshore accident computer system, on the basis of a revision done in 1973 incorporates the full stats 19 data and codes. It has five basic programs and 20 tabulation programs. The basic programs help in producing full details of each accident, selecting and sorting accidents, producing bar charts, identification of blackspots, forecasting expected accidents, accident saving and economic rates of return. A simplified guide to the interpretation of statistical selection of blacksites is given. The importance of before and after study is stressed. /TRRL/
