SUSPENDED VEHICLE SYSTEMS (SVS). VOLUME I. SYSTEM DEFINITION
A first-generation Suspended Vehicle System (SVS), to be synthesized from state-of-the-art components, is described. The configuration is based on a comprehensive selection logic supported by quantitative analyses. A 125-mph state-of-the-art SVS appears to be entirely feasible, and higher speeds seem readily attainable with slightly more advanced subsystems whose development requirements do not appear excessive.
