COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK SYSTEM USING IP MULTICAST TECHNOLOGY FOR AN ACCIDENT PROTECTION SYSTEM
The communications network on which each device can broadcast its own status information is essential in order to realize a guard system based on the distributed control protocol. This paper proposes a method to realize broadcast messaging in geographically fixed multicast group by using the general purpose IP multicast technology and the mobile network technology of a proposal that introduces the multicast management server that manages the correspondence between geographical positions and multicast groups. This method also takes into account mobile networks such as on-board LAN and reduces the use of wireless bandwidth as much as possible. A sub-system for on-board networks will be implemented and the performance evaluated.
