THE CONTACT FORCE BETWEEN PANTOGRAPH AND CONTACT WIRE - AN ESTIMATION METHOD USING THE INVERSION TECHNIQUE
This paper presents a contact force estimation method that involves an inversion analysis of dynamic behavior. An accurate measurement of the contact force between a pantograph and contact wire can improve the evaluation and maintenance of overhead contact lines. The proposed inversion method has the distinct feature of reducing restraints on the sensor arrangement, thus facilitating contact force measurement. The paper discusses the principles of the inversion method, calculations and experimental procedures, and validation results.
