CASE STUDIES IN MARITIME INNOVATION
This report is a series of seven authored papers that trace the development of seven maritime innovations; LASH (lighter aboard ship), containerization, landbridge, MARISAT, the National Shipbuilding Research Program, NS SAVANNAH, and the marketing techniques of the Port of Seattle. The papers identify barriers and incentives that have affected the development and adoption of each innovation within the maritime industry.
