MODERN APPROACH OF DESIGN OF WELDED COMPONENTS SUBJECTED TO FATIGUE LOADING
Traditionally, design of welded structural components subjected to repeated loading been carried out using S/N curves. However, since this procedure came into use, studies conducted on fatigue and fracture mechanics have vastly improved our understanding of the behavior of such components under repeated loading. In this paper, a method of design of steel welded components subjected to fatigue loading that considers this improved understanding of the behavior of components under repeated loading is proposed.
