CONTESTABILITY IN THE UK BUS INDUSTRY, EXPERIENCE GOODS AND ECONOMIES OF EXPERIENCE. IN: URBAN TRANSPORT
The purpose of this paper is to attempt to set out the recent developments in the liberalization of the UK industry in the specific context of the contestability theory. It also offers some general discussion as to how inherently contestable the bus markets and to relate this to the post-deregulation story. The paper has also made an effort to consider the problems posed by market change.
