EIN STEUERUNGSANSATZ FUR NETZBEEINFLUSSUNGSANLAGEN BASIEREND AUF FUZZY LOGIK [A FUZZY LOGIC BASED CONTROL ALGORITHM FOR REROUTING VIA VARIABLE MESSAGE SIGNS]

In this article, the authors describe an automatic control algorithm for rerouting systems based on human expert knowledge that is stored in a rule base. A questionnaire survey was used to identify the decision process and its criteria. In order to deal with the stochastic character of traffic flow and the fuzzy input variables the survey results were transferred into a fuzzy control algorithm. The algorithm was then tested and optimized in a simulation environment. The resulting system can be applied to different network topologies and can also be used to support human operators in traffic control centers.
