THE CURRENT STATUS OF TRANSPORT SYSTEM, AND RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
The paper describes the integrated railway operation system (IROS) developed by JR East for scheduling, transmission, and control of train schedules, and the operation curve creation system (Hercules) required to create train schedules. An overview of these systems is presented. Also presented is an outline of an autonomous decentralized transport operation control system (ATOS) currently under development.
