ISSUES IN TRANSFERRING AND UPDATING TRAVEL-BEHAVIOR MODELS. IN: NEW HORIZONS IN TRAVEL-BEHAVIOR RESEARCH
The paper outlines a framework for the analysis of transferability of behavioral models that covers theoretical, pragmatic, and statistical considerations. The framework is illustrated by a description of the properties that affect the transferability of the most commonly used random utility discrete choice models. A brief summary of the available empirical evidence is provided.
