RENEWAL MODELS FOR OPTIMAL LIFE-CYCLE COST OF AGING CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURES
This paper reviews the renewal mode of optimal technical facilities and extended with respect to finite renewal times and loss of benefit during renewal. The damage term is given for renewal either after failure or after obsolescence and for multiple mode failure. The damage term is also formulated for the case of a renewal (replacement) after inspection and repair. Finally, computational schemes are given for arbitrary renewal models, especially aging models.
