ALL-WEATHER MASONRY CONSTRUCTION: FIELD TESTING OF MASONRY
This 18-month All-Weather Masonry Construction, Field Testing Program allowed technical documentation of prevailing cold- and hot-weather masonry construction practices while monitoring temperature, humidity, and solar radiation effects on masonry soon after its construction. Ten geographical areas ranging from cold, dry Calgary, Alberta, and cold, wet Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to hot, dry Phoenix, Arizona, and hot, moist Clearwater, Florida, were site-tested. Extremes experienced and monitored ranged from -30 F to 140 F, ambient or within the masonry.
