CSXT REPLACES KENTUCKY BRIDGE IN 24 HOURS
Using a pre-assembled span and two 500-ton cranes, CSX Transportation capped a 400-mile, 5-day track maintenance "jamboree" by changing out a 158-foot bridge in 24 hours. The article describes various solutions to engineering challenges posed by having to build new tiers and reinforce old ones around existing trusses and decks.
