SUMMARY IMPRESSIONS FROM NATIONAL POLICY CONFERENCE ON INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS AND THE ENVIRONMENT

This article presents a summary of a conference which examined the national policy towards Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and the environment. Focus of the conference was on finding common ground between the transportation and environmental communities, and the need for a consensus-based policy allowing projects with positive environmental effects to advance more rapidly.
