CONCRETE STRENGTH IN FINISHED STRUCTURE. PART 2. NON-DESTRUCTIVE METHODS. INVENTORY OF LITERATURE

HAALLFASTHET I FAERDIG KONSTRUKTION. DEL 2. OFOERSTOERANDE METODER. LITTERATURSTUDIE

This report is a literature survey of non-destructive methods for the determination of the compressive strength in finished concrete structures. Emphasis is placed on the measurement of the propagation of the ultrasonic pulse velocity and the rebound number and a combination of the two. Of other indirect methods the pull out test and indentation test are considered promising. On the basis of this study combined non-destructive testing and pull out testing are deemed to be most accurate. Furthermore, the report describes various measuring systems, accuracy and precision of the methods and in situ applications. /TRRL/
