STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF SEASONAL VARIATIONS IN PAVEMENT SKID RESISTENCE

This study attempts to analyze statistically the skid resistance data collected by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation During the period 1968 through 1973 on 11 test sites located in the state of Pennsylvania. The main variabiles of interest used to explain seasonal variations in skid number are weather conditions including temperature, precipitation, wind speed, etc. One statistical model is calibrated for each test site. Recommendations are made towards the parent project. /Author/
