PARK AND RIDE GREAT BRITAIN - A SURVEY AND REPORT

This report updates the first major survey of park and ride undertaken by The TAS Partnership in 1996. It includes the location of part and ride schemes, parking, contracts and funding and bus operation are individually analysed and trends identified. Detailed site features such as use of full time petrol attendants or security patrols, CCTV and bus priority measures on park and ride routes are examined. The report also provides a brief history of park and ride, development trends and plans for expansion of existing sites and identifies those local authorities who have expressed a desire to introduce park and ride in a Local Transport Plan. Full details of each site are included as an appendix. (A)
