CERCETARI PRIVIND FOLOSIREA CENUSEI DE TERMOCENTRALA LA LUCRATILE RUTIERE
The authors review the main uses of ashes from power plants in road construction and studies of: embankments (compaction and stability as regards particle size distribution, surface tension of ashes); drainage layers (filtration, particle size distribution of ashes); mechanical stabilization (mixture with granular materials, compactibility); chemical soil stabilization (pure sand or sand/gravel mixtures stabilized with ashes and cement, lime, pure or mixed granulated slag, pozzolanic effect); use of cinders to prevent skidding on black ice. Temporary specifications have been drawn up for various fields of application. /TRRL/
