The task of the designer of signalization can be described as a contribution to spatial planning. Planning of the form and function of the sign as well as the meaning of the information provided. The designer should take as criteria legibility, perceptibility, identification, practical usefulness and aesthetic qualities. A good layout should be able to be used in all circumstances without loss of its distinctive characteristics. /TRRL/
