PROEHL CUTTERHEAD MOVES THROUGH ROCK, CLAY, SAND
The cutterhead described is fabricated from steel plate. The hub is welded to a front end plate which is, in turn, welded to a back ring by means of connecting struts. The number of struts is variable. Digging blades are attached to each of the struts at a proper angle for maximum production. This angle will vary, depending upon the character of the bank material. The blades are of a better grade of steel than the strength members of the cutterhead.
