WEATHER WARNING SYSTEM DEVELOPED FOR DREDGES
Advanced warning of deteriorating local weather conditions is provided by means of a semi-portable instrumented buoyed system. The system provides up-to-date water current, wave, tide and wind speed data direct from the mooring location to the compact receiver unit situated on board the dredge. The measured information is relayed along a connecting cable link from the current meter to a surface spar buoy.
