CONTRIBUTION TO EXPERIMENTS ON RIGID PAVEMENT GROOVING
CONTRIBUTION AUX EXPERIENCES DE RAINURAGE DES CHAUSSEES EN BETON
This article describes investigations carried out in France into the use of grooving for worn rigid pavements which have become slippery due to wear. Longitudinal grooves were cut into some surfacings with a high-output machine imported from the USA on the a6 motorway. Attention is drawn to the advantages of cutting grooves in hardened concrete, the equipment used (a hatcher machine), output of the latter and conditions of use. /TRRL/
