MARKET OF THE INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS : INVESTMENT TO THE NEW TRANSPORT TECHNOLOGIES

This paper discusses the marketing of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in Europe. It gives an overview of the current situation, followed by a discussion of published forecasts that are used to estimate future market penetrations. The potential of the European market for ITS, with a focus on costs and benefits, is briefly discussed. The paper concludes with recommendations for implementing ITS.
