REVIEW OF CORROSION RESISTANT LININGS

The author reviews the range of linings available for the internal protection of vessels, which he subdivides into three major groups: inorganic linings, organic chemically cured or air dried linings, and organic thermally cured linings. Preparation, general properties and inspection of each group of linings are described, and both their advantages and disadvantages are discussed. A partial list of the linings belonging to each of three groups is given along with their respective applications.
