THE USE OF THE TRAFFIC POLE MODEL FOR THE CALCULATION OF REGIONAL AND URBAN TRAFFIC
HET GEBRUIK VAN HET VERKEERSPOLEN MODEL VOOR DE BEREKENINGEN VAN REGIONAAL EN STEDELIJK VERKEER
In the traffic pole theory an attempt is made to show how different parameters, which determine the volume of traffic flows, interact with each other. By means of a mathematical model, in which the factors to be considered appear in the form of parameters, information can most easily be obtained. Furthermore, it is intended that the model should be suitable for calculations when the values of the parameters can be determined. For the first mentioned purpose a mathematical model was presented earlier. In this article the practical application of the model is outlined. In particular the transformation of the model for application to urban traffic is important. /TRRL/
