FAILED CONCRETE ROAD CONVERSION CAN SLASH RECONSTRUCTION COSTS
A brief note is given on a method of reconstructing lightly trafficked concrete roads which have suffered from differential movement or reflective cracking. The concrete is broken with a pneumatic hammer, consolidated by rolling and covered with 2.5 inches dense bitumen macadam. The method has been used in one London borough. It is considerably cheaper than conventional reconstruction. /TRRL/
