POTENTIAL 28-DAY STRENGTH - WHAT SHALL WE DO WITH IT?
POTENSIELL 28-DOEGNS FASTHET-HVA SKAL VI MED DEN?
Conventional strength parameters and testing methods are discussed from the aspect of their theoretical and practical limitations when they are used to determine the stability and strength of a concrete structure at various stages. The author claims that estimations of the potential compressive strength based on cube tests do not necessarily indicate what the true strength will be, as they do not include parameters such as placing, compacting, curing, etc. Therefore, he advocates in-situ tests to verify the actual development of tensile strength and maturity. /TRRL/
