THE DOVER STRAIT INFORMATION SERVICE: RECENT PROGRESS
An analysis is made of marine traffic engineering studies in the Dover Strait area. The value of the Dover Strait Information Service is reviewed. Bulletins broadcast by the Information Service provide data on: visibility in the Strait, unlit navigation buoys or buoys that are off station, reports for various ships that can be of use to other vessels. Future developments related to collision regulations for the Straits and improvements in equipment used by the Information Service are discussed.
