KAWASKI GUYLESS 360-DEG HEAVY-LIFT CARGO DERRICK

The paper describes the components of a guyless 360-deg heavy-lift cargo derrick developed by Kawasaki. Details are given of the 360-deg slewing mechanism and twin boom arrangement for handling loads up to 350 tonnes. The control system is described and annotated diagrams of the derrick and its components are included.
