ROAD TUNNELS IN NORWAY
The continual increase in the volume of traffic in Norway together with the need for longer tunnels has led to design and construction problems. The author describes a new design philosophy that is suited to Norwegian tunnelling tradition and discusses construction methods that can be adopted to overcome difficult conditions.(a) /TRRL/
