REPORT OF THE AD HOC COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS OF URBAN HIGHWAY PROPOSALS

The National Association of Australian State Road Authorities (NAASRA) works towards uniformity of practice in respect of design, construction and user aspects of roads and bridges. This document is the report of an ad hoc committee established in 1972 by NAASRA to investigate community and environmental aspects of urban highway proposals. The report is published for discussion purposes, and as such suggests procedures a road authority should adopt during the planning and public discussion of highway schemes to obviate social and environmental problems during the construction and later the operation of the highway. /TRRL/
