PRIVATE INVESTMENT SPURS EXPANSION IN AUSTRALIA
The Sydney Light Rail line is privately owned and operated, and the proposed Bondi Beach railway is a privately funded project. However, government funding is involved in each. The article looks at how the Australian urban rail sector is beginning to see considerable change through private contracting of operations and private investment capital projects.
