MAXIMUM LIKELIHOOD AND THE GRAVITY MODEL
In this paper, the maximum likelihood method for trip distribution modelling is thoroughly analysed. Use is made of the so-called "family" of gravity models as an aid to the discussion of certain difficulties, hitherto unrealised, which must be clarified before the method may be accepted as a completely sensible means of modelling trip distribution.(a) /TRRL/
