A FLEXIBLE ARCHITECTURE FOR DRIVER ASSISTANCE
In this paper, the authors present a flexible architecture for a driver assistance system. The architecture is comprised of four parts: object-related analysis, knowledge base, behavior-based scene interpretation, and behavior planning unit. The components and their relationships are described. The application of the architecture to intelligent cruise control is discussed.
