VALIDATION OF A PROGRAMMED INSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE FOR DRIVER EDUCATION
Six programmed instruction booklets on driving situations and traffic rules were produced and experimentally tested in several driving and secondary schools. The theoretical steps which led to the completion of this work and the validation experiment which took place after the booklets were released are described. Results showed that these booklets are an effective instructional tool even for self-taught students, but learning is most efficient when they are used in conjunction with a collective course using the same format for presentation. /Author/
