THE EFFECT OF THE COMBINED AGGREGATE GRADING ON THE VOIDS PROPERITES AND LABORATORY STABILITY OF BITUMINOUS CONCRETE
Aggregate mixtures of 20 mm and 10 mm nominal size were prepared to various idealised grading combinations in the laboratory. These mixes were compacted and the voids relationships were calculated and are presented in graphical form together with the stability against the binder content. The graphs so obtained are useful in the interpretation of the behaviour of bituminous concrete mixtures provided the aggrate grading and binder content has been determined. /Author/
