METHODS OF TRAFFIC FLOW MEASUREMENT USING SPATIO-TEMPORAL IMAGE
This paper describes how traffic flow measurement sensors, using image processing, can be used for measuring vehicle velocity, and detecting traffic accidents and traffic congestion. The authors propose a method for measuring velocity for groups of vehicles by measuring the moving time of the group by matching patterns of Directional Temporal plane Transform (DTT) data at different points. Applications for DTT are further discussed.
