S-BAND DIGITAL MOBILE SATELLITE BROADCASTING SYSTEM
This paper proposes the use of digital satellite mobile broadcasting for next-generation vehicular information systems. In order to cope with service deterioration problems, the authors propose using a combination of satellite and gap filler, using code division multiplexing (CDM) with pilot signals as the method of transmission. The system architecture and parameters are described. Results from experiments indicate that the proposed system is capable of proving high performance multimedia services.
