A METHOD OF COLLECTING ECONOMIC STATISTICS OF SHIPPING
The article points out the general incompatibility of methods of classifying shipping data by the various private and public agencies. More importantly, the published statistics are not in a form which facilitates economic analysis. The author suggests using alternative methods which would permit a more suitable evaluation.
