THIRTEEN SUPPLY SHIPS--BUILT ACCORDING TO DESIGN BY AUKRA BRUK A/S

This article presents technical details and general arrangement drawings of three different types of supply ship designed and built by the Norwegian shipbuilders Aukra Bruk A/S. The type B 50, of which seven have been delivered to the Danish shipowners A.P. Moller, is available either as a 499-GRT open shelterdeck or a 999 GRT closed shelterdecker supply/anchor handling vessel. Type B 52 is a 498-GRT open shelter-decker, six of which have been built for Seaway Supply Co. A/S. The B 63 is a larger vessel, of 2,300 metric tons deadweight, and specially designed for the assistance of pipe laying barges, oil rigs and production platforms.
