TRANSIT BENEFITS 2000 WORKING PAPERS: A PUBLIC POLICY ANALYSIS. AN FTA POLICY PAPER
This FTA Policy Paper reflects FTA's continuing effort to develop professional literature on transportation benefits and their measurement. It presents a public choice approach to measuring the benefits of transit's ongoing impact on policy goals pertaining to 1) traffic congestion; 2) affordable mobility; and 3) location efficiency. The working papers offer suggestions on how to translate public support for transit into a budgetary process through benefit measurement.
