Effect of geometric and kinematic parameters of a screw propeller on the value of external forces acting upon an icebreaker during collision with ice. Compares values calculated on a computer for three geometrically different contours of blades under various conditions of motion of an icebreaker and rotation of its screw propeller. Shape of blade has a considerable effect on both the quantitative and qualitative changes in curves for external impact forces. Quantitative estimates of the components of moments of external impact forces are given.
