DESIGN CHARTS FOR REINFORCED CONCRETE CORBELS
Based on the requirements of CP110 Part 1:1972 for the design of reinforced concrete corbels, the author presents design charts which show the admissable values of corbel length and depth, a plot of this against strain in the main reinforcement, stress/strain curves for steel and a graphical representation of the final equation. The design procedure is outlined and an example given of its use with a sketch of the resulting structure. /TRRL/
