SEAT BELTS IN CANADA: WHAT ARE THEY GOOD FOR?

This paper shows quantitatively just how effective safety belts could be in reducing injuries in Canada. The injury prediction equations clearly demonstrate that, for fully restrained accident victims, injuries only become extensive when the seating space of the individual is penetrated.
