MACKENZIE HIGHWAY-WATER FREIGHT MODAL SPLIT
This paper outlines some of the features of the Mackenzie basin transportation system, specifically some of the indications found in the past development of the relationship between Mackenzie water and highway freight transport. Since there has been only limited direct control of this relationship, it shows how the users of the system react to it. At the same time the paper shows some aspects of northern transportation systems research.
