RAILWAYS COME ALMOST FULL CIRCLE
New Zealand's national state-owned railway was privatized 10 years ago, one of the first ever railways to be privatized in its entirety. This article reviews the roller-coaster ride that Tranz Rail, which was created through the privatization, has had since then. Recently, the government has decided to intervene in an effort to save the national rail network from further damage.
