OPTIMISATION OF BUS TRAFFIC: SOME PROBLEMS AND METHODS
OPTIMERING AV LINJETRAFIK - NAAGRA PROBLEM OCH METODER
This article describes computer programs used for the analysis of public transport networks. It is possible, for instance, to minimise the number of interchanges and the number of vehicles. Service frequency can be optimised, as well as utilisation of vehicles and drivers for a given timetable. The various computerised methods are used in combination for the overall optimisation of a public transport system. /TRRL/
