MULTICRITERIA EVALUATION OF TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS: AN APPLICATION OF PRO-METHEE AND GAIA METHODS
This paper uses the PROMETHEE methods and GAIA visual modeling technique in order to evaluate priorities for 20 land transport infrastructure projects provided with the highest budget in the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region. The projects are related to 3 areas: completion of road network, road improvements, and intramunicipality infrastructure. 18 benefit and cost subcriteria, grouped into economic, environmental, and social criteria categories, are used for the evaluation.
