AUTOMATIC VISCOMETER

The new viscometer, in completely automatic operation, meets ASTM standards. It is the only such instrument capable of unattended operation over a full work shift. In addition, the new instrument can be used for a wide range of materials including opaque materials and emulsions. The potential output of a single module is equivalent to that of 2.5 trained analysts. The instrument's integral minicomputer operates one or two viscometer modules. Each module contains a 30-slot sample changer and two thermostatted viscometer tubes. The computer uses full-time data to select one of three capillaries, a step normally done by an operator.
