A PROPOSED METHOD FOR ANALYSING THE POSSIBILITY OF USING A PAVING MIXTURE WITH POOR GRAIN SIZE DISTRIBUTION

PROPOSTA DI UNA METODOLOGIA MATHEMATICA PER L'ANALISI DEL POSSIBILITADI UTILIZZAZIONE DI UN MISTE GRANULOMETRICAMENTE NON IDONEO

This article deals with the problem of unsuitable grain size of aggregate materials which meet required specifications in every other respect, and which are readily available near to the construction site. A method proposed for adjusting the grain size composition of the paving mixture, includes the crushing of oversize particles in order to make maximum use of the local aggregate, thus saving long distance transportation costs. /TRRL/
